Tip Sheet 3 – CW Investigations with Families Impacted by DV during COVID-19

Investigating suspected child abuse and neglect when there are concerns about domestic violence requires special attention under normal circumstances. Under the COVID-19 crisis, more preparation and extra precautions are necessary. The suggestions in Tip Sheet 3 can help child welfare first responders promote safety and minimize negative and traumatic impacts on child and adult survivors of DV while completing factfinding and risk assessment.
